| I have a question about learning languages.
When you start learning a language, do you generally start with nouns or verbs or something else? I am going to be doing an exchange with a native Russuan speaker for free and I want to figure out what to start with. I studied German a little bit many years ago and I can't remember what we did. Maybe we just started with greetings and social skill stuff.

| Dear Annalee,
I think the best way is to have a texbook and follow it. The person, who wrote a book, put a lot of thoughts into it. In good books the laguage is built up gradually. If you speak German - it's a big plus for you, as German also has Case system of nouns. If you studied German a little bit - it's still better than nothing, as you, porbably know some grammar concepts.
Buy our books and go ahead. Start with Reading Russian Workbook - it's only $14.99! After you finish it - you will see whether it was worth your money.
